Energy For Life, the new company brand position mantra, meant an entirely new way of relating with customers, and the world.
CEO William Shipley III had a future vision that included energy efficiency and biofuels for Shipley’s local Pennsylvania residential and commercial customers. What emerged for Shipley, following a newly articulated brand story and visual identity, also was a story that changed the world. With emphasis on cleaner, greener, more sustainable energy sources, the world had changed too. People and businesses demanded a cleaner and sustainable future.
Shipley needed to lead a new energy movement. Starting local, thinking global.
The work of Landor alumni Russell Volckmann and Bob Wolf created a new greener Shipley Energy brand identity and design system, yes—but much more. We also identified new and existing touchpoints, channels and actions to move Shipley’s message with involvement, impact and authentic intent.
Within one year, a small renegade Shipley Energy moved from humble local beginnings to become one of the Top 10 Fastest Growing companies in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
